Frittata

2 Medium Potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 eggs
1/4 cup of milk

In a fry pan, heat some olive oil, then add the potatoes. Stir often, being careful not to mash or break up the potatoes until browned.
Mix eggs and milk and beat until the eggs are a little foamy. (Use a fork so as to not overbeat the eggs.)
Spread out the potatoes and onion in the pan to an even level. Pour the egg/milk mixture into the pan. DO NOT STIR!! Cover tightly. Leave covered and simmering until all the egg has set and cooked.

I wish I had some bacon or cheese to add, but it's a good base to experiment with since it's so easy.

I finally broke down and bought her a Kong, a little pricy, but they claim to be virtually indestructible and a 30day buy back guarantee if it goes the way of the Frisbee (no where). This is a toy she can play with during the day if we are gone at work, so I think it was pretty worth it. She played with it for a bit, but not all that excited, then I shoved the biscuit in it and she is in love with her new toy. I did this because she destroyed a sock yesterday making it obvious that she was bored. Pictures to come.

So miss brat has torn apart 2 plush squeak toys, as well as a smoothie bone that didn't even last 24hrs. So after repairing the squeak toys (one with out a squeaker), and being torn apart yet another time, I decided to make a new one. I used an old ribbed cotton t-shirt and filled it with the stuffing that was left from the two previous toys and stuck in the remaining squeaker. 2 hours later I had a new toy for her. She sniffed at it for a few seconds then walked off. Well here are some pictures of the stinker and her new toy.

Friday at 12:30 I leave practice for work, thinking the weather is pretty bad, maybe I should just go home. I stayed late at work to avoid rush hour, at 6 the snow was to the point I was worried I would not be able to get my car out if I didn't leave then, and it was only going to get worse, and Tom was worried. 10 minutes to find my car, a decent drive home, and I get stuck in the middle of my driveway, Tom comes out to move in for me. We realized that we need a shovel, kicked snow out of the way so he could park my car, and then decided to go put on snow pants and gloves to play in the snow. Here is the result, he is approximately 7ft tall and 3ft at the base. BTW my snowman is infinitely better than mom's!

NyQuil's Failure

This is my rant and rave.
I get a head cold, go to the store for NyQuil, something for the day (DayQuil makes me really sick), and tissues.
I get home take some NyQuil, lay down on the couch expecting to pass out, but instead I get sicker, with a really bad stomach ache.
Not until today did I discover that NyQuil changed the formula, removing Pseudoephedrine (the really good stuff that knocks out the sniffles and makes you pass out) and replaced it with Doxylamine Succinate (the stuff in DayQuill that doesn't work as well, and makes me sick).
A word to the wise, NyQuil is a failure, no longer a failsafe you can count on. And as soon as people realise what has happened their sales are going to drop so bad.
Tylenol works allright, non-drowsy containing phenylephrine HCL, but still no replacement for the good stuff.
If you go into a pharmacy looking for something containing Pseudoephedrine they'll think you are making meth, what has this world come to?

As a side note, puffs with lotion is a real nose saver, in that your nose takes much longer to become raw and painful.
